I'M DAY ENKHBAATAR

I’m an experimental filmmaker who uses intentional cinematic experimentation to more tangibly convey what cannot be expressed clearly through traditional narrative film, so that

you - the viewer - can experience the internal as distinctly felt through external expressions of art. My primary mediums are film directing and some focus on DPing. I also create bold cinematic photography that suspends authentic expression as a captured moment in time. I was educated at DePaul University’s film program, specialized in their Directing program.

Under the Sun and Moon is an extension of me and the community of values I’m cultivating as a filmmaker, and it speaks to the heart of my mission- validate authentic expressions of truth.

Whether it’s my truth, societal truths I feel passionate about, or your truth — I commit to expressing them because they deserve to be known and witnessed with deliberate care in spaces that

honor them so that we may create space for necessary dialogue.
